Dear Friend:
It has been almost four years since I was elected as the first County Councilwoman for District 11. It has been an honor to serve the District and to be an instrumental part of reforming our County government.
I am proud of the work we have done to make our government transparent, accessible and to restore the public trust. I have worked hard to build a strong responsive government. We have passed strict ethics laws, established the office of inspector general, dedicated funds for economic development, education and infrastructure needs. Health and human services and safety forces have been strengthened as well.
I sponsored and passed legislation to provide domestic partnership benefits to County employees, to reduce the use of pesticides on County property, and to provide veteran housing in partnership with the Cuyahoga Land Bank. I fought to have a share of casino revenues available to the suburbs, and most recently, I sponsored legislation to establish voter protection for our residents.
I look forward to developing a County housing plan, an office of energy and sustainability, and to further explore ways to share services. I want to sincerely thank you for your support. It means a lot to me. I look forward to working with you in the future to improve and strengthen our communities.

Thank you to all of you for your support in my successful election to the County Council District 11 Seat. I could not have done it without you who walked in parades, canvassed, contributed financially, gave me your wise advice and counsel, got the word out on Facebook and the Website, wore my t-shirts at summer events, helped with yard sign locations, stood at the polls, those who endured the heat and continued to walk despite its oppressive effects, those who hosted coffees and fundraisers and to those who kept the South Euclid Humane Society going in my absence. I still need to keep the momentum going and I still need your support until the general election on November 4 against the Republican opponent. I am so grateful to have all of you as friends and supporters. I am looking forward to seeing you at my victory party on November 4.
